From this week our foosball table has an office league. After each match, players log the result on their phone. The free web app packeroo turns it into rankings with seasons, awards and winning streaks. Why? Because the best conversations often start at the foosball table. The league is a reason to play a round with colleagues from other teams too. To join: open the link, create an account and start playing once you are approved in the league. [Invite link] At the table you will find a QR code to join and our house rules. Questions? Ask [Your name].

Good to know: packeroo has its own QR code for the foosball table and the invite link to copy, where you invite players to your league. This poster adds a headline, the logo and the three steps to join.

Your first week

The first week decides whether the league takes off. The days are a suggestion. You can also spread them over two weeks. New to the table? Our foosball tips cover the essentials of passing, defending and shooting.

  1. Day 1

Create the league and agree the rules

Create the league and pick 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2. A one-week season works well to start with, so you get your first winners quickly. A weekly season is a calendar week, Monday to Sunday, so start at the beginning of the week. Agree the house rules with a few regular players and log the first matches yourself. A table with results is more inviting than an empty one.

  2. Day 2

Announce it and put up the posters

Send the announcement to your team channel or by email. Put the QR poster and the rules poster up at the table. If you use Slack, connect the league to your channel. Then the whole team sees every new match.

  3. Day 3

    Be at the table

Be at the foosball table at lunchtime. Anyone passing scans the QR code and plays as soon as they are approved. Approve join requests on the same day so nobody has to wait.

  4. Day 4

    Follow up

Send the short reminder. Talk to people who have not played yet, especially from other teams. Pairing by availability helps: whoever has time marks themselves as available and packeroo sets up the matches.

  5. Day 5

    Take stock

Share the current table in your team channel. The season ends with the calendar week on Sunday. Then the winners are settled and packeroo hands out the season awards. Celebrate the best players. A small prize or a rotating trophy is enough.

And after that?

From the second week the league runs with little effort. Good moments for a short message are the end of a season, a new leader or a long winning streak. A restart pays off after holiday periods, for example in January, or straight after a tournament. For your Christmas Cup there is the tournament generator.

Rules poster: your house rules

At work you play without a referee. Agree the house rules before you start and there will be no arguments. Tick them here, or print the poster blank and tick it together at the table. The bottom of the poster shows the official rules in short.

The official rules in short

These points are also on the poster. They come from the ITSF rulebook. The organiser sets the match format, so the first point follows the German federation DTFB as an example.

Sources: ITSF Standard Matchplay Rules (version 2.0, December 2023), DTFB tournament regulations (German, section 6, as of 21 July 2022). The full version, compared with pub rules, is in our foosball rules.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find the invite link?

In your league in packeroo. That is where you invite new players and can copy the invite link. You can also share it via WhatsApp, Telegram or email.

Does everyone need an account?

Yes. To play you need an account with a username, email address and password. A league admin then approves the request to join.

What does it cost?

Nothing. packeroo is free and needs no payment details. So is this kit.

Is what we enter on this page stored?

No. Invite link, league name and your name stay in your browser. The QR codes are created right on your device, without any outside service.

What if the league goes quiet after two weeks?

Usually there is just no reason to play. Short seasons and pairing by availability help, plus a short message from you at the end of each season. With Slack your team channel sees every new match, and push tells you about your own matches.

We do not use Slack. Does it still work?

Yes. You can share the invite link by email, WhatsApp or Telegram too, and the QR poster hangs right at the table.

No league yet?

Give it a name, pick the format and then copy the invite link here. Free, no payment details.
